My son Hunter has had an IEP since the age of 2. Early intervention with the assistance of a Speech and Occupational therapist helped him tremendously, but he was still very behind in school. With every school year that passed, we began to realize just how far behind he was - especially in reading. We were introduced to Ala Carte by a friend whose child had found success there. It was only after a few lessons that we started to notice a big difference in his reading. He began to read signs around town, wording on tv, etc. He looked forward to going to every session, and soon would WANT to read for fun at home. I think the biggest difference in Hunter was the confidence he gained in school. I don’t think Norah and the rest of the team at Ala Carte will ever truly understand how much of an impact they have made on Hunter’s life - and ours! We are forever grateful for them.
